Mccormick Marjoram, Ground

A milder member of the oregano family, marjoram is pleasantly aromatic with a warm, sweet flavor that hints of mint. McCormick Ground Marjoram goes especially well with chowders, tomato dishes, chicken and fish. Marjoram is indigenous to northern Africa and has been cultivated for centuries. At McCormick, we source our marjoram from whole Egyptian leaves which are carefully dried and ground. It adds sweet herb flavor to an array of savory dishes. Use in place of oregano in sauces for pizza or pasta, whisk into a marinade for kebabs, add to your favorite meatloaf recipe or toss with bread cubes for stuffing. Marjoram is popular around the Mediterranean – in Greek grilled lamb, Italian tomato dishes and the Middle Eastern za’atar spice blend.
