She had been going through some travel magazines and chanced upon an ad for a cooking school in Tuscany. Perfect she declared and immediately called her daughter Cathy into the kitchen. You and I are going to Italy to learn the intricacies of Tuscan cooking. Geraldine and Cathy arrived at Cucina Tuscana just as the sun was coming up over the olive orchards. They listened raptly as the mysteries of Tuscan cookery were revealed. They experimented with all manner of sauces and dishes. Geraldine was particularly fond of the delightful flavor of fresh rosemary she had used in some of her lessons. On the last day of class, as a special thank you to Chef Paolo, she mixed up a batch of her famous cheese straws incorporating the newfound tastes of Italy. The chef and students alike found Geraldine's tasty morsels a fitting finale to their culinary efforts.
