Dry Creek Sauvignon Blanc

Est 1972. Clonal selection: Clones 1, 21, 30, 917. Rootstock selection: Rootstocks 5C, 101 - 14, s04, 3309C. Soils: Gravelly Loam, valley floor ancient alluvial. Harvest dates: Aug 27 - SEPT 23, 2020. Fermentation: 80% stainless steel, 17% in barrels. Brix: 22.9. TA 7.0 g/l. Family owned and sustainably farmed since 1972. This bottling celebrates nearly 50 years of experience farming sauvignon blanc in the dry creek valley. Our blend includes the unique Sauvignon Musque and sauvignon Gris clones which further show case the distinctive terroir of our home appellation. The grapes were harvested August 27 through September 23, 2020 from a narrow selection of benchland and valley floor vineyards. The sandy loam soils and temperate climate contributed to even ripening, excellent acidify and balance in the grapes. Stainless steel fermentation was supplemented with small amounts of chestnut, acacia, and French oak barrels adding character and nuance to this delicious vine.
